{"id":670,"date":"2015-10-16T13:09:24","date_gmt":"2015-10-16T20:09:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/penagain.net\/?p=670"},"modified":"2015-10-16T13:09:24","modified_gmt":"2015-10-16T20:09:24","slug":"little-girl-writes-her-name-for-the-first-time-with-the-twist-n-write","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/penagain.net\/?p=670","title":{"rendered":"Little girl writes her name for the first time with the Twist n Write"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I am an occupational therapist working in a school. \u00a0I work with a 5 year old girl in kindergarten with a diagnosis of Amyoplasia Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. \u00a0She is in a wheelchair and the only movement she has in her arms is very little shoulder horizontal abduction\/adduction of her left arm. \u00a0When she saw the Twist n Write rocket\u00a0pencil, she was really excited and wanted to try it. \u00a0I couldn&#8217;t believe that it fit between her fingers (which do not move)! Then&#8230; she was able to do a maze (with some help from me to move the paper at times)!!
